Biography
BUNINUZ NEIL is a charismatic, passionate and extremely talented Jamaican roots Reggae Artist who is based in Montreal, Canada. Buninuz was brought up in a coffee-rich fertile valley Blue Mountain Region in Jamaica. The freedom of his natural *Garden of Eden*and the local music had a significant impact on his giving gift for music. His passion began at a very early age and seemed to come naturally for him. Even at a normally undeveloped age of five Buninuz showed signs of his zeal for music by finding joy in trying to make guitars out of bamboo and wood panels from around his home. When he became older Buninuz Neil began playing the guitar as his first instrument which was soon followed by becoming proficient as a base guitarist, singer and composer too.

In his early teens Buninuz Neil joined his family in Montreal, Canada and it is here his real love affair with Reggae Music began in earnest. Having mastered various instruments, he put together a prominent Ska Band in the 80's called *Top Rankin*. Two singles released by his band were well received in Canada and Europe. Germany was extremely receptive to the band<s style of Music. As a next step in 1987 Buninuz established the band *INUSASO* which means heat beat within. This name explains the music that lives within musicians and it is so very much a part of their very fiber and spirit. With his talented Band members his sons (Zebe Elijah Neil base guitar and Himijah Neil-back vocals and percussions) his experience and immense talent as a singer, band leader, composer, performer and instrumentalist...Buninuz has retained the well-earned respect and title as the Milestone and Pillar of Reggae music the Montreal music scene and Inus Aso has often been referred *the Wailers of Montreal*

The band INUSASO has performed a sold out concerts, renown festivals, prestigious clubs, live music venues and many private public events over the years not only in the band’s home base of Montreal but also within the province of Quebec across Canada and even in Europe too. This extraordinary band opened baked and toured many band of various genres, both local and international, including renown band such as Alpha Blondie, Toots and the Matels, Lucky Dubi ,Joe Higgs, Luciano, and Marcia Griffiths (one of Bob Marley’s three former backing singer). And Buninuz also has shared the stage as a lead singer with Montreal hiphop artist Dubmatic with the recognized and accomplished Buntin Neil aka (Buninuz) as the lead singer, composer and driving force behind it...the international professional band INUSASO is committed to engaging the audience in a upbeat experience and it is guaranteed to infuse any audience with their positive vibes and enthusiasm.

There is a lot to expect from the exceptional artiste and the highly professional INUSASO band going forward. In addition to his first *live* CD titled *Positive inspiration*, Buninuz Neil is currently in the studio working on a new album of original songs with the band and hoping in release this soon. BUNINUZ NEIL est un musicien, chanteur et interprète montréalais d’origine jamaïcaine qui jouera pour la première fois à la 39e édition du Festival International de jazz de Montréal le 2 juillet à 20 h avec les membres de son groupe INUSASO. Ses 15 compositions aux paroles et aux vibrations positives inspirées de la musique de la Jamaïque feront alterner les rythmes du reggae, du rocker et du dub qui sont les styles les plus empreints de spiritualité dans le pays de Bob Marley.

Qui est Buninuz Neil?
Buninuz Neil s’est d’abord fait connaître avec son groupe Top Ranking actif entre 1983 et 1987, dont le style ska jamaïcain joyeux et syncopé a séduit les Montréalais. C’est à l’âge de 23 ans que Buninuz a créé Top Ranking après avoir développé ses talents de musicien, de compositeur et de chanteur après son arrivée à Montréal alors qu’il était adolescent. Adulé par les étudiants de plusieurs cégeps et des universités Concordia et McGill, Buninuz et son groupe ont été tellement sollicités par plusieurs établissements qu’ils ont fini par acquérir le statut de premier groupe de musique ska jamaïcain au Canada.

Désireux d’enrichir son répertoire d’autres styles de musique jamaïcaine, Buninuz a formé son nouveau groupe INUSASO en 1987, dont les prestations ont principalement lieu au Québec, en Ontario, ainsi qu’en Europe. INUSASO comprend généralement entre 5 et 7 artistes jouant du
reggae roots, du dub, du rocksteady, du rocker et du nyabinghi. Outre la guitare, les instruments de musique utilisés par le groupe sont la basse, la batterie, le tam-tam, le piano et l’orgue.

L’amour en musique
La musique de Buninuz est caractérisée par des sons harmonieux, mélodieux et rythmés qui laissent place à l’improvisation des musiciens à chaque fois qu’ils jouent ensemble, une façon pour eux de célébrer leur créativité tout en s’adaptant à chaque audience. Buninuz veut créer un son mystique qu’il qualifie de « majestueux » pour faire expérimenter aux auditeurs leur connexion avec leur spiritualité intérieure. Le but premier du groupe est d’ailleurs de procurer à chaque spectateur une musique revitalisante qui se veut un baume pour l’âme. Créer une connexion basée sur l’amour entre tous les spectateurs constitue aussi la mission d’INUSASO. Les paroles proférées, toujours positives, portent sur la justice, les droits humains, l’amour, la paix, ainsi que l’élévation de la conscience. Le groupe INUSASO cherche à inspirer un sentiment d’unité, comme le veut le nom jamaïcain du groupe qui signifie : « Ce que nous avons de commun au fond de notre cœur ».
Buninuz Neil et son groupe rendent hommage à la musique de Bob Marley depuis 1994. INUSASO s’est également produit au Club Soda, aux Foufounes Electriques, au Festi Jazz International de Rimouski, au Festival des journées d’Afrique de Québec, au festival Jonquière en Musique, à la Fiesta des Cultures de Saint-Rémi, au FestiBlues St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, à la Fête de la Musique de Tremblant, au Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur, à la fête du Lac des Nations à Sherbooke et au Festival des rythmes d’Afrique de Sherbrooke, au Festival d’été de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, au Festival International des Rythmes du Monde de Saguenay et au Festival Musique du Bout du monde de Gaspésie.
